    it work?

When the strengths and interests of a supported employee are indentified, the employment team then begins the job search and job match process by approaching suitable potenial employers on their behalf. Our goal is to find businesses and services where our client’s skills will benefit the employer, the community and our clients.

The employer is responsible for paying the wages of the supported employee (either part-time or full-time) and SMART Options can provide, if required, a job coach to work one-on-one with the supported employee at NO COST to the employer.

The role of the job coach is provided to train and assist the supported employee by utilizing skillbuilding techniques to the point where he/she can perform the duties and responsibilites of the job independently. The level of support can eventually be reduced as the supported employee progresses.
